Stop The Bleed®

A significant proportion of trauma-related deaths worldwide is due to bleeding or its consequences, establishing hemorrhage as the most common cause of preventable death in trauma.*

STOP the Bleed®  is a national campaign to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained,  equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.

This easy-to-follow program teaches you to:

  • Understand the immediate response to bleeding
  • Recognize life-threatening bleeding
  • Apply appropriate ways to stop the bleeding

The help given by an immediate responder can often make the difference between life and death, even before professional rescuers arrive.
